Question: will it suit a #40 chain?
Answer: not sure just what a number 40 chain is…i understand it works with the 215 or 220

Answer: The sprocket may either be used with the 9 hole technique or if the rim has a 1in . hub drectly to the hub. The next being my preferred since there is no potential for over torqing the spokes
